Please give some reasons explaining why you like those particular forms of defense. This list is hardly exhaustive but it should give you several interesting options.

You can choose up to 5 of them as you vote.

I am yet to make up my mind on them, myself. For now here's an explanation on all the choices:

Block (Weapon) - Blocking with a sword or other melee weapon while you're pressing on with your attack.

Block (Shield) - Blocking with a shield or other item suited specifically to defense, not for attacking.

Block (Armor/Cape/etc.) - Relying on tough armor to protect you from attacks.

Barrier/Aura - Staying safe inside a hermetic sphere that extends from you some 10 inches distance.

Objects/Obstacles/Summons - Creating physical barriers and walls that intercept attacks and take hits for you. Alternatively, summoning minions that intercept attacks in suicidal protection.

Evasive Move - Quick feet dodging, jumping, sliding and other daring acrobatics.

Teleport/Portals - Quite obvious, this one, I think.

Redirecting Attacks (Throws/Reflecting Shots) - Grabbing that arm or catching the bullet and sending it right back at the attacker.

Traps/Illusions/Kawarimi - Allowing the opponent to focus attacks on bait and then countering.

Invisibility/Mole/etc. - Hiding from the opponent and attacking while immaterial.

Recovery&Immunities - It doesn't matter what attacks come your way, you just heal any damage and recover from extra attack effects, or are already immune to poison/blindness/confusion/etc.

Those who saw how I fight with Brain-Book would guess most of my choices easily... XD

Traps/Illusions/Kawarimi > Redirecting Attacks > Teleport/Portal > Barrier/Aura > Block (Shield). Those are my choices.

Traps and redirected attacks are really fun mainly because they serve the double purpose of defense and counter; also, I like to trick my opponents during battles, so that they exhaust themselves merely trying to score a hit and then counter once they're weakened.

I personally like Redirecting Attacks ever since Gash's Rashirudo.

Deflecting projetiles back at the enemy is more effective than just the standard blocking, obviously.

I voted for:

Blocking Weapon- The game I want to create one day is an action RPG, where the game relies heavily on blocking upper, middle, and low attacks, I love defending this way.

Blocking Shields- Shields are really underappreciated weapons IMO, which leaves me sad since I didn't put it on my weapons poll. ;_; Same as blocking with other weapons, blocking with shields is always fun.

Blocking with Armors- Really, armors almost always look really badass, and when you combine them with the fact you can use them to guard your body, they are even cooler.

Evasive Maneuver- I don't really like to dodge attacks in video games, I prefer blocking most of the time over it. (Except for SSBB). But anyways, I voted for this because in sparring for my Martial Arts, I love avoiding a really strong kick someone used against me, and then following up with my own powerful kicks.

Redirecting Attacks- Even though I hate some bosses where you can only progress by hitting thier projectiles back at them, it's certainly a unique boss battle, and therefore shouldn't be criticized unless the boss is up the arse annoying. Plus, it's almost always badass when reflect a really large charged projectile back at em.
